Best harness out there!
We have a huge 5 month old lab who pulls like no other and is impossible to walk and After trying several different brands we are so excited that we found this one. If you have a puller you have to purchase the leash as well. You won’t be disappointed.

Best Harness So Far!!
I don’t write many reviews, but this harness was a LIFESAVER.Harness Size: MedPupper: 45-50 lb Husky/GSDMy dog has a high level of fear aggression. A few days ago, she decided (after around almost a YEAR of 0 complaints) to be terrified of her 2HoundsDesign harness. My guess is a combination of the *snap* sound of the buckles, combined with the pressure under her forearms. Morning walk? Completely fine. Evening walk? Tries to bite, is full on Kujo mode, no walk/normal nightly exercise, only goes outside to pee after I make a slip leash, then pouts in her bed the rest of the night. (She was not injured, I made sure to check later). Cue me (stressed out from Xmas hours and sick with the flu), having a breakdown on the kitchen floor, wondering if I’m capable of handling such a reactive dog.Halti No Pull Harness:No snaps, no buckles. Just quickly pulled it over her head, and asked for “paw” on both sides. I wouldn’t say it’s as pull-proof as the 2HoundsDesign, but it’s pretty darn close. No sliding from side to side when I use a double (front/back connection) lead.I believe that the Halti is superior to the 2Hounds, in that there is quite a bit of slack when she is NOT pulling. Although the 2Hounds design is also padded and has SOME give, it seems rather constrictive, *esp when she is sitting*. I feel like this Halti harness is one I can take with us on long mountain hikes with no worry of chaffing or discomfort. Also, the reflectiveness of the stitching is on point.——–Previous Harnesses:Halti Gentle Leader:Does my dog HATE it? Yes. Do I *love* it? Also, YES. It’s great for when we are in crowded areas and I want FULL control.2HoundsDesign:I loved it until it no longer was an option. I will say that I worried about discomfort/chaffing on some of our longer hikes. But, it has been the best option for reducing pulling over-all.Ruffwear Front Range:Big fan off the Ruffwear brand, NOT a fan of this harness. There is a front lead option. It’s sturdy, but it isn’t metal. Also, it slides around far too much to be functional for a dual lead. Might work for some, but my dog goes full *sled dog* if the lead is attached to just her back.

Has worked pretty well so far
I’ve taken my pulling girl out on about five walks since I’ve gotten this harness. I’d say that generally, it works pretty well. Seems to get her attention every time that she pulls. I’ve tried all configurations and I think the best is the back ring alone. I’ve noticed that when you use the front hookup the harness starts to slide to the side and gets loose. Overall it’s helped and I feel like it keeps getting better every walk
We have a chewer!
Our puppy is a lover of chewing everything he comes in contact with. He cannot reach the breast plate of this harness to chew it has he has all his other harnesses. The harness does not hinder any of his movement and it appears that it is comfortable with wearing it. It is wonderful in training him to walk on a leash. For durability, I gave it 3 stars because I originally purchased 2, one for him and one for his sister. He chewed through the pull straps of his sister’s. Thank goodness I sew, I had to shorten the straps on hers so it could be used. If these straps had been made of a more durable or thicker product, I believe we would not have had this issue.Otherwise, I am really impressed with this harness.
GAME CHANGER for my anxious dog!
This review is based on the use of the Halti harness, the Halti training leash (2-sided), and a prong collar/head halter.Ever since moving to a dense, downtown area of a large city, my bigger brindle girl is terrified every time we leave the apartment. She has always been anxious (abuse from when she was a puppy), but never to the point that she would refuse to go for a run (her favorite thing). Before this, she would only walk 200 feet from my building before pulling us back inside.I bought this with the expectation of controlling her anxiety-based pulling, but WOW. She is so much calmer with it, and was able to walk 30 minutes, over a bridge, to a large farmer’s market the very first time she wore it. I pair this harness with her prong collar and the Halti 2-sided leash, and the combination seems to be a real winner.Pros:- The “force” of pulling is decreased drastically, and I found myself never being yanked around compared to when using a single-point connection on another harness.- The force from the tightening of the harness (and prong collar) is distributed across the body, which lessens the likelihood of chafing or injury.- Very easy to put on (my dog doesn’t like to squeeeeze her head through harness openings).- Sturdy and no signs of wear (so far), despite daily use.Cons:- Doesn’t really work if you are trying to pull the dog forward when they are behind you or if the dog backs up. With the 2-sided Halti leash, redirecting is definitely easier, though.- Similarly, if your dog plants or reverses behind you, they can wiggle out of the harness if it is loose enough.- The underarm padding often shifts around, so half the time I don’t bother adjusting it for short walks. While I use Ruffwear harnesses for hiking, this harness is my favorite harness so far for daily use.

We both love this harness, but he refuses to take it off!
Lots of great things to say about this harness, and a few things to improve: well made, has friendly materials, has a good design for the most part, and does the job. Five minutes out the gate, we were confronted with the typical Kathmandu street dog pack (1 female and a bunch of males all trying to get it on), and I could have turned back, but figuring I needed to test this harness, we plowed on through the middle of the f party. They reacted, Bernie reacted, and it was off to the races with just the Halti holding the line. After a swift knee correction – made easy by the halti chest clip design – all was well again, and we loose-leaded our way off. This harness held a 60kg Leonberger full of bear at bay!Now for the cons: the cushion on the under straps should be sewn onto the ribbon and cover the entire length. The way they are now, they slip and slide under your dog’s pits and, as far as I can tell, are useless this way. Also, using a front clip harness will feel strange if you’re used to top clips, as the right front leg will rub/hit the lead. Bernie dunna care, but it was distracting on our first walk. However, the front clip will allow you to pull the misbehaving dog’s chest towards your knee, and that’s undoubtedly what you want for corrections. My other con relates to the Halti lead and not the harness. They should have made the lead match the materials on the harness, as they are fantastic. The reflective threads are what’s needed on the lead as well! Thx for listening.

Yes!!!!! It works!
Yes!!!!! Finally, a no pull harness that actually works! I’ve tried millions of other “no pull” harnesses but none worked. This was my last attempt to try one, and it actually works. Thank goodness because walking our 10 month old lab was painful for everyone. This harness is amazing! I will add, I also bought the leash that attaches to the front and back for extra control. Works like a charm!
Amazing
We have a new dog. Amazing product. Give it a try.
A TRUE training harness for overactive strong-willed doggies!
I have a very ‘extra’ little Airedale terrier. She is happy about everything, excited about everything, inquisitive about everything.. and has what we like to call “Terrier Deafness”And I have bad shoulders. Finally… a harness that offers two means of redirection – chest loop, and ribcage! This harness is comfortable for the dog and with the double ended Halti ‘rein’ I can direct my Lucy (fur) as is best in the moment.FINALLY! Lucy (fur) is happy to trot alongside me instead of bludgeoning forth willy-nilly, after every single thing that draws her attention on walks!
Works for my puppy
I got this for my 4 month old (now almost 5 month old) Aussiedoodle puppy. He pulls on the collar and I tried a regular harness with front and back clips but he didn’t like it. This one works pretty good for an active, social, and friendly puppy. We don’t go on long walks yet, but for our short outings it’s perfect.I ordered both small and medium and kept the small. He’s about 18.5lbs and I feel like it’ll still work for him when he’s bigger. I like that it’s adjustable while he’s still growing.UPDATE: my puppy is now 11 months old and 30 pounds and still fits the size small harness. It’s great and I’m very happy with it.
Works great for any activity!
I love this harness and I’m pretty sure Monty does too! My dogs chest is fairly large compared to the rest of his body so it’s been hard to find the correct size. This is my third halti harness. Not because it’s poorly made, we just use it often. It’s great for car rides, just clip in and off and there is a little more freedom than connecting straight to the back on a normal harness. This is my favorite for hiking. I just lift up a bit and point him in a different direction for a turn, just the slightest movements work.Monty is rambunctious and excited on hikes. Jumping, running, rolling around in the grass, swimming, no matter the activity the harness held up.The reasons why I purchased another… the type of material that touches the chest area, holds hair, dirt, leaves, grass. Anything you could imagine can get stuck up in there. I have machine washed and it works just fine. Only thing that wouldn’t come out was my pups hair. For something that is used every and for strenuous activities, the price is great!I’m not a fan of the armpit cushions. They don’t stay in place. He doesn’t seem to mind.
