Very soft, easy to button, catches lots of food and liquids. Some of the same type of bibs are too stiff to wear comfortably between the baby and the tray on the high chair but this one is soft enough to bend a little but still be effective at catching the mess. Perfect!
I’d been using the bumkins bibs since they’re waterproof and easy to clean, but whenever I gave my 9-month old anything more watery or thinned out by water, I’d have to change his whole outfit afterwards because his shirt and pants would be covered in food. I decided to try these bibs out in the hopes that I would be saving myself an outfit change every time he eats. They totally did the trick. He can’t tolerate anything that’s uncomfortable – he’ll pull at it until he gets it off – but the silicone on these bibs is soft and pliable, so they’re easy to put on, not heavy, and he doesn’t mind wearing them at all. And since we started using them, I haven’t had the issue of pants covered in puree again. I sometimes still put a cloth bib underneath since he drools a lot and the liquid can seep down into his clothing and his neck, and the silicone doesn’t absorb that spillage. Also – they’re ridiculously easy to clean – just wipe off with a paper towel or rinse with water for more serious messes. I’m a big fan and am glad my bib search is over!
My 1 year old is a pretty messy eater when he is hungry. It’s a great big and it catches everything. He is never bothered by it being around his neck. The material has a nice smooth texture and it’s not heavy. My son has eaten everything in this bib and it never stains even if we do not wash it immediately.
